BMR Calculator — Basal Metabolic Rate for Runners

Calculate your basal metabolic rate and daily calorie needs as a runner.

How We Calculate This

The Mifflin-St Jeor Equation

This calculator uses the Mifflin-St Jeor equation, considered the gold standard for BMR estimation:

Men: BMR = 10 x weight(kg) + 6.25 x height(cm) - 5 x age + 5

Women: BMR = 10 x weight(kg) + 6.25 x height(cm) - 5 x age - 161

TDEE is then calculated by multiplying BMR by an activity factor (1.2 to 1.9). The runner macro split follows a 55/20/25 carb/protein/fat ratio.
